What is a magnet program?

The Weitchpec Elementary School - Yurok Magnet Program is a public school with a Yurok focus permeating all studies. It is under the administration of the Klamath-Trinity Joint Unified School district. The school is a school of choice for parents and students who wish to combine a strong academic base with a comprehensive understanding of Yurok Indian world-view.

Who can attend?

Open enrollment for all Kindergarten, first, second, and third grade students in the Klamath-Trinity Joint Unified School District.

How many students will attend?

The K-3 total enrollment is limited to 30 students with 2 teachers.
