Technology in Schools
Klamath-Trinity Joint Unified School District has diligently taken
steps to make a difference for our schools in efforts to improve the
quality of services needed in technology.
With the help of
Schools and Libraries funding our schools have been able to implement a
complete network infrastructure which now provides a plethora of
technology capabilities such as Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP)
phone system, voicemail, high speed bandwidth that provides Internet
service to our rural area schools, Video on Demand (VOD), Video
Streaming, Cable TV, Televideo conferencing and much more.
We
currently have a network that is based on active directory which has
allowed us to provide e-mail, and AD user accounts to all individuals
within our school district.
With the direction of our
technology department, district office and school sites, we have come
together to infuse technology into the classrooms.
Every
classroom now has computers stations, printers, digital projectors and
document readers to assist teachers with instruction as well as the
ability to have mobile or stand alone Internet access in every room. All
campuses have wireless capabilities, which allow us the mobility of
notebook labs.
More and more the classrooms are using technology in everyday activities, curriculum, and presentations.
